Below is the public schedule of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. All events are free and open to the public unless noted. For ticketed events, people are requested to contact the organizers directly or visit the listed websites for further information on tickets.

For all teachings in Dharamsala, registration is required in order to attend. Registration begins a few days before the actual start of the teaching and ends the day before the first day of the teaching. Registration hours are from 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm at the Branch Security Office in McLeod Ganj (Bhagsunath Road near Hotel Tibet). Kindly bring your passport for registration. A nominal fee of Rs. 10 will be charged.

For your information, as a long-standing policy His Holiness the Dalai Lama does not accept any fees for his talks. Where tickets need to be purchased, organizers are requested by our office to charge the minimum entrance fee in order to cover their costs only.

Live Webcast Teaching

November 5 – 7, 2020

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will give a three-day teaching on Nagarjuna’s Commentary on Bodhicitta (jangchup semdrel) on the mornings of November 5, 6 & 7, 2020 from 9 am to 10 am (Indian Standard Time) at the request of Russian Buddhists. He will then field questions from the same group from 10 am to 10.30 am. Those interested may watch the live webcast of the teachings in Tibetan with translation in English, Chinese, Hindi, French, Russian, Spanish, Vietnamese, Japanese, Mongolian, Korean, German, Portuguese and Italian on the official websites and Facebook pages of the Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. November 13, 2020

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will launch the book Science and Philosophy in the Indian Buddhist Classics, Volume 2: The Mind. There will be brief comments from John Dunne, Distinguished Chair in Contemplative Humanities through the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Thupten Jinpa, Board Chair, Mind & Life Institute. His Holiness the Dalai Lama will engage in a question and answer session on the book and the series with Daniel Aitken, CEO of Wisdom Publications. This will also include a question and answer session.
