Indian university opens Tibetan Studies Center, honors Dalai Lama

Sep. 5 (Phayul/Tibet.net): His Holiness the Dalai Lama inaugurated the Centre for Tibetan Studies at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), the world’s largest Open University, located in Delhi.

His Holiness was also awarded the degree of Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) by IGNOU on its 24th convocation day.
