New Delhi: Jigme Tsering, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in New Delhi, attended the launch of the Satyarthi Fellowship – A Global Compassionate Leadership Programme, organised by the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion (SMGC) at the SCOPE Auditorium, SCOPE Convention Centre, New Delhi on 17 September, 2026.

During the event, Representative Jigme Tsering read out a message from His Holiness the Dalai Lama on behalf of His Holiness, conveying his thoughts and message on the importance of compassion and compassionate leadership.

The Satyarthi Fellowship is a global leadership programme that brings together 25 young change-makers, aged between 25 and 40, from diverse countries and disciplines. The Fellows will work towards developing high-impact initiatives across areas including business, artificial intelligence, healthcare, education, governance, justice and faith.

The programme is supported by an inspiring group of global leaders and eminent experts serving as mentors, including Nobel Peace Laureates, heads of international organisations, former political leaders, human rights advocates, academics and leading figures from the business and healthcare sectors.

The Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion, founded around the vision of Nobel Peace Laureate Shri Kailash Satyarthi, seeks to promote compassion through values of justice, equality, peace and sustainability. The launch of the Fellowship brought together leaders and change-makers committed to advancing these values and nurturing a new generation of compassionate global leadership.

The Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama was honoured to be part of the occasion and to convey His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s message to the gathering.
