Turning Lumbini into Disneyland

July 28 (Republica/by Kanak Mani Dixit): Would the Buddha Sakyamuni have approved the conversion of Lumbini into a commercial Disneyland? It is the responsibility of Kathmandu’s political front rank – none of whose members at present, incidentally, are of the Buddhist faith – to save Lumbini from geopolitical, sectarian and economic competition.
