Nun becomes ninth Tibetan to self-immolate in protest

Oct. 19 (The Independent): Tenzin Wangmo, a 20-year-old nun of the Mamae Dechen Choekhorling nunnery, doused herself in petrol, chanted slogans and then set herself alight on Oct. 17 afternoon. She died at the scene.

She the ninth Tibetan to have set themselves alight this year in protest at Chinese policies and the first woman to have done so.
