Protests against China’s ‘liberation games’ in Tibet
July 13 (Tibet Post International): Plans by Chinese authorities tp hold public games celebrating the “90th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party” have been protested by local Tibetans in Nangchen in eastern Tibetan province of Kham.
The games were meant to begin on July 6, the same day as His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s birthday. As a result, Tibetans viewed the games as disrespect to the Dalai Lama.
