Freed Tibetan nun in serious condition

Nov. 25 (Phayul): A Tibetan nun jailed during 2008 protests in Tibet was released Nov. 19 but is reportedly in “serious” health condition, according the Voice of Tibet radio.

Taga alias Tashi Yangtso was arrested on May 20, 2008, along with two other nuns, Achoe and Sochoe, after the three staged a protest against Chinese rule in Kham Dhargay Gonpa in Kardze county.

Taga is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Chengdu.
