Dalai Lama: Other values as important as food, shelter
July 13 (VOA): In an interview with VOA, the Dalai Lama quoting Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh said for human beings, other fundamental values such as democracy, freedom, rule of law, transparency, freedom of speech, freedom of press are as important as food and shelter.
He said Tibetans like any other human beings love freedom and don’t like too much restrictions.
