Crackdown still in force at restive Kirti Monastery
June 28 (ICT/RFA): The crackdown underway at Kirti Monastery in Ngaba in eastern Tibet shows no signs of easing either fresh reports of several hundred Chinese government officials billeted at the monastery.
Some monks taken for “legal education” are allowed to return to home villages but not allowed to return to their monastery. Sources say paramilitary police severely beat Tibetan boy and girl.
