Centre for Tibetan Studies established in Indian university
Feb. 18 (Tibet.net): The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in New Delhi issued a notification on Feb. 1 2011 for the establishment of the Centre for Tibetan Studies in the School of Social Work of the University.
Kalon Tempa Tsering, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in New Delhi, presented a cheque of Rs.5 lakhs to IGNOU’s Vice-Chancellor, as His Holiness’ token seed money for the Centre.
